Pastor Ben Edwards

Dean and Instructor in Practical Theology

Ben Edwards is Dean and Instructor in Practical Theology at Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also the Pastor of Discipleship at Inter-City Baptist Church, where he has served since 2008.

Pastor Edwards received his M.A. from Northland International University and his M.Div. from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently a Ph.D. student in World Religions with a full minor in Christian Philosophy at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Pastor Edwards previously served as the Director of Urban Ministry for Inter-City Baptist Church. Prior to coming to Detroit he was the Assistant to the Director of Graduate Studies at Northland International University and also served on the staff of churches in West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Alberta. He has a burden to see God’s Word proclaimed around the world and has served on ministry trips to Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa.

He and his wife Jo have three sons.
