History
Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary was founded in 1976. The first commencement ceremony was held in 1980. Since that time the seminary has educated a host of godly men committed to serving faithfully around the world as pastors, missionaries, professors, military chaplains and evangelists. After many years of enjoying a warm but loose knit fellowship the graduates of DBTS took steps to begin an alumni association. In 1994 that desire was fulfilled with the formation of the DBTS Alumni Association.
