Part of our mission is to provide access to the very best resources
available for Biblical and theological studies. Other sites containing useful
general, academic, or research information are also contained here. Although
these sites contain helpful information, DBTS does not necessarily endorse the
institutions or the positions they represent. If you find a broken link or have
a recommendation, please email us.

Apologetics
At DBTS,
we believe and teach the presuppositional method of apologetics. Rather than
allowing people to sit in judgment on God's existence or the truthfulness of
his Word, presuppositionalism assumes the truthfulness of Christian theism and
the Bible. Presuppositional apologetics defends these truths by demonstrating
the folly of unbelief and the impossibility of any approach to truth other than
the Christian theistic world view.
The
Covenant Media Foundation - The late Dr. Greg Bahnsen was one of the
greatest defenders of the faith using the presuppositional method. He also made
significant contributions to presuppositionalism and was one of its most able
teachers. Highly recommended are The
Great Debate: Does God Exist? (with atheist Gordon Stein), Van
Til's Apologetic, and Always
Ready: Directions for Defending the Faith. NOTE: DBTS is Baptist and
dispensational in theology, therefore we do not endorse Bahnsen's or CMF's theonomy,
Presbyterianism, or Covenant Theology.
Applied
Presuppositionalism - If you are unfamiliar with presuppositionalism,
this site is a good place to start. It contains a
brief explanation of the tenets of presuppositionalism, a biographical
sketch of Greg Bahnsen, and a number of excellent articles written by or
about Dr. Bahnsen.
